
About the Dog Trainer
Linda L. West, CPDT is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and is certified by the Certification Council of Pet Dog Trainers (CCPDT). She was certified to Safer Aggression Test in 2006 while working at the Humane Society of Redmond as their in-house dog trainer. West is a member of the Association of Professional Humane Educators as is committed to safe dogs and dog training education in the community to ensure children and dogs interact in a safe manner. As a dog trainer, West is committed to compassionate dog training using motivation and control.
West formerly the In-House Dog Trainer and Education Coordinator for the Humane Society of Redmond. She left the shelter in 2007 to pursue her specialty as a dog trainer working with dog aggression and dog behavior problems. As a dog trainer she is committed to solving problem dog behaviors and dog aggression. Safe dog behavior is her priority as a dog trainer.
She worked as a trainer and performed with Sea Lions at the Miami Seaquarium. She also worked first as first response Search and Rescue with mantrailing Bloodhounds.
West earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science at Colorado State University.
For many years, she worked as a USFS Back Country Ranger in the Targhee/Palisades National Forest in Idaho with her Standard Poodle "Bruce."
West grew up with dogs and has been a trainer since graduation from college.
As a dog trainer West is dedicated to changing dog behavior problems and dog aggression problems with positive motivation dog training. She is experienced in identifying serious dog aggression problems and modifiying dog-dog aggression.
